Her web sites, books and extensive list of published articles mirror both her passions and proficiency as a full-time writer. Dena’s articles are featured in publications such as Writer’s Digest, The Toastmaster, Self-Publishing Essentials, and numerous pet magazines. Hailed as “the Erma Bombeck of cat writers,” her hilarious Lessons in Stalking…Life With Cats gift book is available on our books page.

Aside from documenting the lives of her husband and cats, Dena teaches magazine writing, creative writing, and networking workshops around the nation.

Prior jobs include insurance claims adjuster, librarian, and job-coach, all of which make her happy to now be a writer. Dena and her husband and their two beautiful if slightly ill-tempered cats live in North Carolina.
